Electronic Paddlewheel Boat: Makerspace Mondays

Set sail on an exciting engineering adventure! Young makers will build their own motorized paddlewheel boat while exploring how electricity powers motion and how paddlewheels helped revolutionize transportation on rivers and lakes. Participants will assemble an electronic boat, learn how motors convert electrical energy into movement, and discover why paddlewheel boats played an important role in American history. Once completed, students can test their creations and observe how simple machines and engineering work together to propel a boat through water.
