Sources of Strength is a peer leadership and suicide prevention program open to 9th-12th graders in Howard County. Peer leaders work with adult advisors to design creative mental health awareness campaigns, while developing leadership skills and knowledge around mental health. Sources of Strength gives students an opportunity to create positive social change by using their voice and social influence to prevent suicide. The program is free and will meet in-person and virtually. Meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at 6:30 pm.
Sources of Strength will be hosting the kickoff Peer Leader Training on October 15th from 11 am - 4 pm. For more information, visit teenhealthmatters.org.
