READY (Restoring the Environment and Developing Youth) is a two-month summer program that provides conservation education, employment, and career development to young adults ages 16 to 25. Environmental education includes natural resource protection and restoration; career development includes job site visits with our industry partners, environmental and green infrastructure industry literacy, and tool safety training.
Participants work in teams to construct and maintain rain gardens, stormwater management practices, and provide habitat management services to the County and community.
​READY participants are eligible to receive a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Associate certificate.
