In recognition of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, the Office of Human Rights & Equity (OHRE) is hosting “Transpacific Origins: Celebrating the Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Diaspora.” This event is to center Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, creating a space that will honor their ancestry, their histories, and their identities.
The event will include:
- Live cultural performance from a Pacific Islander Performance Troupe
- Panel discussion about Asian American and Hawaiian/Pacific Islander identity and AAPI advocacy
- Hawaiian/Pacific Islander food tasting
