Mark your Calendars! You are invited to our Annual Coat Day. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Iota Lambda Omega Chapter, in partnership with Pearl Foundation Inc., and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter are excited to give the gift of warmth for this winter season!  We are giving away NEW coats, hats, scarves, gloves for men, women, and children (all sizes) on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 9:30 AM - 12 PM, at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center in Columbia, MD.

Howard Community College is thrilled to host our inaugural Fall for All event on October 20, 2023. This family-friendly, free event falls on a day when HCPSS schools are closed so it's the perfect time to explore our campus and enjoy fall festivities, such as food, fun activities and crafts, a corn maze, candy, and more! The Triadelphia Ridge Elementary School PTA is excited to host the Retriever Run Fundraiser for all students, families, and community members on Saturday, November 18th at 9am. This will be a fun school-wide event meant to bring the community together, show school spirit, and promote fitness. Participants may run or walk the course! On October 15, from 11 am - 4 pm, Howard County Pride returns with its annual PRIDE Celebration at Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods. This free, family-friendly event kicks off with a Kids' Music Box performance by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!
Vendors, Exhibitors, and Food Trucks will line the pathways and the Chrysalis stage will feature a variety of amazing performances!

-Cooking safety starts with YOU!

-Family friendly activities:  Fire engine and ambulance tours, Junior Firefighter Challenge, Jaws of Life - see our volunteers cut up a car, learn about cooking safety, suit up like a firefighter/EMS, hands only CPR, blood pressure screenings, and  squirt the fire hose!

St. Alphonsus Preschool serves children ages 2-Pre-K! We will be having an Open House on Thursday, October 12 at 6 PM. Come and tour our classrooms and meet our staff and learn about our programs. Attendance at Open House gives priority enrollment for next year, although there are a few spaces open for this year. Tours can also be arranged at other times.
