Pollinator StoryWalk at the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area

In celebration of National Pollinator Week, visit the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area June 17-25 to enjoy a StoryWalk® featuring Flower Talk: How Plants Use Color to Communicate by Sara Levine and illustrated by Masha D’yans. A StoryWalk® is a deconstructed children’s book made into signs placed along a trail where visitors can stroll and follow the story from page to page. The StoryWalk® is free, self-guided, and open from sunrise to sunset. The trail starts at the Trotter Road entrance. Trails are unpaved.  

Dragon Boat Festival

COLUMBIA ORCHESTRA FREE SALUTE TO VETS CONCERT 6/11

THE Columbia Orchestra and choirs of St. Louis and St. Francis pastorate -- with“Battle Hymn of the Republic” by Julia Ward Howe guest soloists and musicians -- will hold a free musical salute to military veterans 4 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at St. Louis Church, Clarksville.The singers and Orchestra, under the baton of Columbia Maestro Jason Love for the last time, will feature “Songs from Sea to Shining Sea” -- patriotic favorites by American composers.

Relay For Life of Baltimore and Howard County invites the public to our free event on Saturday, June 3, 3:00 – 9:00 p.m., at Howard Community College’s Track and Field in Columbia. Enjoy free parking in a garage by taking the Little Patuxent Parkway entrance.
