Girls on the Run (grades 3-5) and Heart & Sole (grades 6-8) registration opens August 22, 2021 at noon. The 9-week season begins September 20 with celebratory site-based 5K weekend scheduled November 13 or 14, 2021.
Stemtree is more than an enrichment program. We bring basic science to life through our Science, Engineering, and Technology Workouts! Your student will engage in hands-on learning with coding, robotics, science, electricity & electronics. The Howard County Autism Society's Every Step Counts Autism Walk & 5K Run brings together those touched by autism and members of the community in a supportive, fun environment.
Y-KNOT Inc. presents MentorMe. This mentoring opportunity offers young people an opportunity to have an individual to help guide them through certain aspects of life. Research has shown that mentoring can have the following impacts:
- Overall academic performance.
- Positive self image.
- Increased self motivation.
- Reduction in inappropriate behavior.
- Improves attitudes towards school and future.
This is an opportunity for students to learn Spanish and Central American culture. All lessons and activities will be online. Students are paired with an individual instructor in Guatemala who will begin with the appropriate proficiency level of Spanish. The 10 hours of lessons can be scheduled for times that are best for you. Five, one-hour cultural activity sessions are scheduled throughout the two-week period. Sessions will be recorded and available should a session be missed.

As a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run, you will build confidence and inner strength in young girls who need you. 96% of coaches said they felt they formed positive relationships with the girls on their team.
