Mark your Calendars! You are invited to our Annual Coat Day. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Iota Lambda Omega Chapter, in partnership with Pearl Foundation Inc., and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter are excited to give the gift of warmth for this winter season!  We are giving away NEW coats, hats, scarves, gloves for men, women, and children (all sizes) on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 9:30 AM - 12 PM, at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center in Columbia, MD.

Howard Community College is thrilled to host our inaugural Fall for All event on October 20, 2023. This family-friendly, free event falls on a day when HCPSS schools are closed so it's the perfect time to explore our campus and enjoy fall festivities, such as food, fun activities and crafts, a corn maze, candy, and more! "HCC is happy to host the community for the inaugural Fall for All festival.

The VFW Youth Scholorship awards program has opened for 2023.  This is an exciting opportunity for middle school students (Patriot's Pen) and high school (Voice of Democracy) students to win scholorship money.  Middle school students have to complete and essay and high school students prepare a short video presentation. Each level has a specific topic.

We are thrilled to announce our 4th Ulrim regular performance, which will take place at the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Ctr, HCCC in Columbia, MD on Sat Oct 14th, 2023 from 5-8pm. Doors open @ 4:15pm.

On October 14, from 12 - 5 pm, join us for a free, family friendly celebration of our Hispanic communities through music, food and the arts!

Biz Kidz Academy is sponsoring a competition and award ceremony for Howard County students.  Kids and teens (Ages 8-18) are invited to creatively express themselves with an inspiring business product, 500-word composition, or 5–10-minute video on a familiar topic that inspires them. Competitors will attend a special award ceremony on Sat., Oct. 21, 2023, at the Holiday Inn, located at 7900 Washington Blvd in Jessup MD. Competitors will display their creative entries and sell their business products at a vendor table.

A basketball league for children grades 1-12. Practices one night a week with games on Friday evenings or Saturdays.  Practices begin in November, games begin in January for the eight-week season. Additional information at www.elev8sports.org one night a week with one gamer per weekend.

The Triadelphia Ridge Elementary School PTA is excited to host the Retriever Run Fundraiser for all students, families, and community members on Saturday, November 18th at 9am. This will be a fun school-wide event meant to bring the community together, show school spirit, and promote fitness. Participants may run or walk the course!
