Union Collective Pride: Youth Climbing (ages 5-18) at Movement Hampden

Join Unmatched Athlete on Saturday, June 17th from 12pm-5pm for a fun day of climbing at Movement Hampden! Youths aged 5-18 and families all welcome to attend for FREE to try out bouldering, play games, and meet new people in your community!

Kids 5-12 years old will climb from 12 pm - 2:30 pm; while youths 13-18 will climb from 3 pm - 5 pm. Adults 19 or older interested in climbing will pay a discounted $19 that goes directly to Movement Hampden.

AAPI Heritage Month: Celebrating the Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Diaspora

In recognition of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, the Office of Human Rights & Equity (OHRE) is hosting “Transpacific Origins: Celebrating the Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Diaspora.” This event is to center Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, creating a space that will honor their ancestry, their histories, and their identities.

Launch on a cosmic quest where you’ll have a blast shining Jesus’ light to the world. Stellar VBS rockets kids on an out-of-this-world adventure that’s light years of faith-building fun. Join us this summer on a cosmic quest to shine Jesus’ light to the world at VBS 2023: Stellar.

Glen Mar’s VBS is for kids currently (spring) in kindergarten through 6th grade. Older youth and adults are invited to volunteer.

Vaping Town Hall - Navigating the Effects of Teen Vaping

Nearly 40% of high school students will try vaping. More 8th-10th graders vape than drink or use cannabis. Despite being promoted as a healthier alternative to smoking, vaping proses many health risks. 

Join HC DrugFree's Executive Director Joan Webb Scornaienchi, Mark Donovan from Congruent Counseling Services, and Dr. George Kolodner a board certified psychiatrist specializing in nicotine addiction to learn more about consequences of youth vaping and what we can do about it. 

Teen Advisory Council Meeting - HC DrugFree (8th to 12th grade)

HC DrugFree's Teen Advisory Council is open to all Howard County students in grades 8 through 12. This is a great opportunity to help prepare younger students for success in high school while allowing older students to develop their leadership and mentoring skills. Health Fair and Blood Drive

Glen Mar is hosting a health fair and blood drive from 11 to 3 on Saturday, May 20, 2023.  Everyone is welcome and it is free to the public.  It will make our community a more resilient and healthier place for all of us.  Pre-registration strongly recommended, but walk-ins accepted as time slots allow.  The scheduled health-related services are:
