The Howard County Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission invites students and community members to enter our annual contests.

We have several exciting opportunities to engage with Dr. King’s vision of equality, justice, and community service. 
Additionally, all contests have cash prizes. 

The contests include:

  • Oratory Contest: Open to Middle and High School students.
  • Essay Contest: Open to Middle and High School students.
  • Poster Contest: Open to Elementary, Middle, and High School students.

  • Living the Dream Award: open to students, individuals, and organizations.

    Contest Deadline: November 15th, 2024, by 5:00 PM EST
