COLUMBIA ORCHESTRA FREE SALUTE TO VETS CONCERT 6/11

THE Columbia Orchestra and choirs of St. Louis and St. Francis pastorate -- with“Battle Hymn of the Republic” by Julia Ward Howe guest soloists and musicians -- will hold a free musical salute to military veterans 4 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at St. Louis Church, Clarksville.The singers and Orchestra, under the baton of Columbia Maestro Jason Love for the last time, will feature “Songs from Sea to Shining Sea” -- patriotic favorites by American composers. The star-spangled program includes “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” by Barber, “The Promise of Living” by Copeland, “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by Sousa and "Battle Hymn of The Republic." In-kind donations on concert day benefit vets: see https://baltimorestation.org/wish-list/ .
