HoCoPoLitSo’s virtual 44th annual Irish Evening of Music and Poetry is Friday, February 11, 2022 at 7:15 p.m., via ZOOM. Event features an amazing roster of Irish writers - Colm Tóibín, Colum McCann, Alice McDermott, Mike McCormack, Vona Groarke, Theo Dorgan, Paula Meehan and Mary Madec - with music by O’Malley’s March and step dancers from the Teelin Irish Dance Company. The program will be introduced by Daniel Mulhall, Ireland’s Ambassador to the U.S.

Howard Community College is offering special Saturday hours on January 22 and 29 to help you apply, register, and prepare for the upcoming spring semester. Enrollment services are available on campus and virtually. In-person services are all located in the Rouse Company Foundation Services Hall (RCF).
The Howard County Chapter of The Society, Incorporated and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Iota Lambda Omega Chapter invite youth to participate in a Virtual Poetry Slam taking place on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at noon. Youth of all ages are invited to share a poem, spoken word or other original work as they compete to win monetary prizes. First Place Winner receives $100, Second Place $75, and Third Place $50.
