What is the purpose of this study?
This study investigates neural biomarkers in areas of the brain that control muscle movement and movement planning in 8–12-year-old children. Our goal is to understand the differences in these neural patterns with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
The results from this study will be used to find better treatments for ADHD.
What is the time commitment?
Participation in this study requires either two or three (8 hours on-site visits).
During the research appointments, the following will be completed/conducted:
- Two or four Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Sessions
- An IQ Assessment
- Questionnaires
- Computer-based activities

Cost (if applicable)
Children can earn up to $100 for completing this research study. Parents can earn $50 for completing our parent surveys. Families can choose to receive their compensation in the form of a gift card or check. Participants with ADHD can elect to complete our medication component and will receive an additional $50 for the additional testing day.
