EmpoweReer (Young Adult Career Empowrment)

The EmpoweReer HoCo Summer Program, hosted by the Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA), offers a transformative five-week experience for Howard County youth aged 15–17. Running from July 7 to August 10, 2025, this initiative is designed to cultivate leadership, communication, and career readiness through immersive, hands-on learning. 

The focus for the Howard County cohort is on storytelling, journalism, media engagement, advocacy and community empowerment. 

• Skills Areas: Participants will learn storytelling, business writing, leadership skills, public speaking, employer engagement, project management, gaining practical skills and mentorship.
• Daily Engagement: Sessions run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
