Be SMART

Firearms are now the leading cause of death among children and teens in the United States.  To help keep your family safe and prevent tragedies, it’s crucial to secure your firearm in homes and vehicles. What is Be SMART? The Be SMART campaign was launched in 2015 to promote responsible gun ownership in order to reduce child gun deaths. Be SMART is a framework that parents, caretakers, and community leaders can follow to help keep their communities safe. Be SMART ( S- Secure, M- Model, A- Ask, R- Recognize, T- Tell).  We offer informational presentations on secure gun storage and suicide prevention, we table at community events to increase awareness, and distribute various printed materials and free gun cable locks.
